A slope in the garden makes it unusual and looks more modern. Proper arrangement is a laborious task that requires knowledge. What plants can be used for the slope?

How to properly manage a slope in the garden?

Slopes and hills are often perceived by property owners as a huge problem. Few people know that the slope in the garden can become an asset to the garden. All you need to do is place the right plants on it, which will highlight all its advantages. The choice of plants for the slope should be determined by the degree of its insolation. The most common plants planted on a slope are:

  • shrubs,
  • grass plants
  • ground cover plants,
  • rock plants.

The slope in the garden can be a great insulation from outside noise and wind. This makes it very pleasant to relax in the garden. The practical function of the escarpment can be achieved by reinforcing it with a retaining wall, which can also be a great garden design element.

When choosing plants for the escarpment, we should decide only on those dedicated to rockeries, that is, perennials and shrubs

The construction of a home rockery should start with retaining walls, which prevent the slope from sliding. The slope in the garden can be varied with stones, which will create impressive stairs allowing access to the plants. The development of the slope is a time and labor intensive activity, so the arrangement should be well thought out
